Building 191 new council homes at Hale Wharf

The Hale Wharf development comprises 6 buildings, that vary between 4 and 8 storeys high, and is being built on brownfield land.

All the new homes will be adaptable, of which 27 will be fully wheelchair accessible.

The new homes are set in a picturesque location overlooking the Paddock Community Nature Park and Walthamstow Wetlands. Hale Wharf will improve the overall access to the waterways, complementing the Council’s investment in the area and strengthening the connectivity between Tottenham High Road and the Lea Valley.

Haringey Council's Hale Wharf scheme will incorporate two play areas for younger children and public pedestrian foot bridges: Hall Village Green Link Bridge and Pymmes Brook Bridge.

Provision will be made for 25 wheelchair accessible car parking spaces with car club spaces also being accommodated. There will be cycle storage to encourage more sustainable forms of travel and Hale Wharf is just a few minutes’ walk from Tottenham Hale station.

Homes will be connected to the Hale Village Energy Centre and the scheme will include measures for a sustainable drainage system.
